You can't swap it with a pc drive without modification to the drive and it has to be a specific drive but if you have any other xbox's the drives are swappable. Just formatting it now in the Xbox.
You can use 4gb or less usb sticks as memory cards if i recall correctly but it is only usb 1. This is the PC drive modification i was talking about.
