And if it works, throw stuff at him. Follow this, and he'll be blind in floating out into space in no time. On the Death Star you have to destroy the tractor beam. You first must break the force field in front of tractor beam by using your force push against the force field generator, which is on the left edge of the force field and on the opposite side.
After breaking force field, three large generators will be in front of you. Force grab and throw all three to destroy. There will be TIE fighters flying by you on the platform. Force grab a TIE fighter as it flys by and force throw into the generators to completely destroy tractor beam.
